Retail Team Member

Battery Outfitters Inc is seeking a Retail Team Member to deliver friendly, knowledgeable service in our specialty battery store. In this fast-paced, hands-on role, you'll greet customers, assess their needs, and recommend battery and power solutions for automotive, marine, commercial, and household applications. Responsibilities include battery testing, basic installation, safe handling and recycling, stocking shelves, and operating the POS system. You'll receive training on product lines and tools while building technical, sales, and problem-solving skills in a supportive team environment with opportunities for advancement.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance
• Identify customer power needs and recommend appropriate battery solutions
• Perform battery testing and basic installation services
• Safely handle, store, and recycle batteries according to guidelines
• Operate POS system, process payments, and handle cash accurately
• Stock shelves, merchandise products, and maintain clean sales floor
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with receiving shipments
• Explain product features, warranties, and service options to customers
• Troubleshoot common battery and power issues for customers
• Collaborate with team members to meet store goals and service standards
