Job Title:
Part-Time Retail Sales Associate – Cox Communications
Location:
Cox retail location (must work onsite).
Compensation:
Hourly rate $15.29–$22.88, plus annual incentive/commission target of $7,674.00. Expected part-time total compensation $43,028 ($20.69/hr) including a base rate of at least $17.00 and a targeted commission of $639/month.
- Explain and demonstrate product capabilities and offer suggestions based on customers’ wants and needs.
- Meet or exceed targets regarding customer experience, sales, and retention.
- Assist with opening/closing the retail environment.
- Properly handle cash transactions.
- Participate in workshops, special events, and product demos.
- Support fellow sales agents when needed.
- Continuously expand knowledge of current Cox products and competitor offerings through regular training.
- May be required to work in other locations within the same geographical area.
- Minimum:
High School diploma or GED; up to 2 years relevant work experience. - Ability to meet established sales, retention, and customer experience targets.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; consultative, solutions-based sales approach.
- Ability to build relationships with a diverse customer base.
- Multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced, service-oriented team environment.
- Mobile within store for long periods greeting customers and demonstrating products.
- Computer literacy and aptitude for learning communication products and services.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Ability to lift 25–50 pounds to manage stock-room inventory.
- Preferred:
Some college experience focused on sales, business, or management. - Preferred:
One year of experience in sales, retail sales, or service industry. - Preferred:
Experience selling Wireless/Mobile products. - Preferred:
Fluency in Spanish, both written and spoken.
