Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer - Armed Patrol-Driver Clearance Required in Independence, MO
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal on an armed, driving patrol post at a manufacturing and industrial location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for service, document observations, and communicate clearly with site personnel while providing strong customer service.
You will support a caring, agile team that delivers through teamwork and acts with integrity.

- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and public response agencies as directed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, and perimeter points, checking for unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations and reporting findings.
- Control access through vehicle and/or pedestrian entry points, verify identification and authorization, and perform inspections of deliveries, trucks, and outbound loads when assigned.
- Complete detailed daily activity reports and incident reports, maintain required logs, and handle authorized equipment and firearm in accordance with Allied Universal policies, post orders, and applicable laws.
- Have 3+ years' combined law enforcement, military, and/or security experience or a college degree.
- Have an armed guard card and/or license.
- Have an active DoD Secret clearance.
- Be 21+ years of age.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
