Summary
About the Position: This is a Maintenance Worker, WG-4749-07 position with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Little Rock District, Operations Division. This position is with the Beaver Project Office, Located in Rogers, Arkansas.
This position is exclusively represented by Local 2130, IBEW, AFLCIO.

Duties
Help
- As a maintenance worker, you will perform a variety of maintenance, repair, and operational duties at a Corps of Engineers Project Office with recreational facilities.
- You will perform work utilizing a variety of trades, such as carpentry, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, painting, and roofing.
- You will interpret simple plans, schematics and sketches; you will use elementary shop math, proper use of tools, and follow proper repair techniques, to include achieving proper fits, and tolerances, and planning and laying out work.
- You will also perform such duties as maintaining roads, setting/replacing buoys and operating motor boats, motor vehicles, light trucks and tractors.
- You will perform inspections of various types of contracts.
- You will service public rest rooms, empty refuse cans, police park areas and remove debris from public grounds.
- You will cut and remove trees and brush using chainsaws, and hand tools. Load and unload supplies and equipment manually. You must be able to use a forklift.

There is no specific length of training or experience required. However, you must be able to demonstrate, through experience shown in your written application materials that you possess the sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the work of this position without more than normal supervision.
Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element):
Ability to do the work of a(n) MAINTENANCE WORKER without more than normal supervision. Typical examples of such work include (but are not limited to) performing maintenance and repair to mechanical, electrical, or plumbing components and systems, and repair structures composed of wood or concrete. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating.
