Position Summary
Walmart’s Global Aviation (WGA) team ensures safe, reliable, and efficient travel for our associates worldwide. The WGA team is a close-knit group of aviation professionals dedicated to delivering exceptional travel experiences. This temporary opening supports corporate aviation flight dispatching and planning operations, serving as the central point of contact for flight planning, regulatory and operational risk assessment, vendor coordination, and real‑time trip monitoring.
Whatyou’ll do
- Model compliance with company policies and procedures and incorporate company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity into daily work.
- Work closely with scheduling, maintenance, crew, and aviation leadership to plan all facets of aviation trips, including aircraft selection, airport selection, lodging, and transportation needs of crews and passengers, aircraft weight and balance, fuel loads, and fuel pricing.
- Arrange ground handling services, airport slots, and fueling plans for all flights as required by company policies and procedures.
- Prepare international and domestic flight packages, including operational flight plans, weather briefings and charts, NOTAMs, performance data, ETOPS, and other documentation relevant to flight operations.
- Identify and mitigate potential flight hazards as early as possible.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of applicable aviation‑related laws, regulations, company standard operating procedures, and industry best practices and ensure that all operations comply with requirements.
- Conduct operational risk analyses in response to scheduling requests by proactively monitoring weather conditions and forecasts.
- Review data to assess flight crew fatigue.
- Assess destination airport complexity and terrain.
- Evaluate equipment needs based on crew, passengers, and fuel requirements.
- Monitor compliance with local, state, and federal aviation regulations.
- Handle changes to flight plans by coordinating irregular operations.
- Provide emergency response support.
- Exercise authority over initiating, conducting, or terminating flight operations through after‑hours rotational coverage.
- Provide operational guidance and subject‑matter expertise for non‑scheduled maintenance events (e.g., aircraft on the ground).
- Review and evaluate daily operational changes to ensure flight crew and aircraft can safely complete missions.
- Ensure quality customer travel experiences in a dynamic operating environment.
- Make decisions to change equipment, crews, and destination airports based on analysis results.
- Escalate high‑priority changes to a manager for approval.
- Brief assigned flight crew on anticipated or actual changes to flights.
- FAA Dispatcher License or ATP or 10 years of Aviation Operational Experience.
- Prior work experience in a role requiring strong attention to detail and the delivery of results under pressure.
- A positive mindset and problem‑solving attitude.
- 4–6 years experience as a licensed flight dispatcher or professional pilot with expertise in domestic and international operations.
- Familiarity with scheduling software platforms, flight planning tools, and flight tracking software.
- Experience interfacing with Air Traffic Command Centers and third‑party International Flight Planning Services.

Annual salary range: $90,000.00 – $. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses and may include stock for certain positions.
Minimum Qualifications- FAA Dispatcher License or ATP or 10 years of Aviation Operational Experience.
- Prior work experience in a role requiring strong attention to detail and the delivery of results under pressure.
- Corporate flight operations or related position.
- Leadership experience in corporate flight operations or related position.
- Prior experience planning and dispatching international trips.
