Position: DISPATCHER (AM)
Position Overview:

Primarily responsible for executing the dispatch process that supports Operations. Provides exceptional customer service to customers and drivers.

Hours:

Position requires an early morning start; work hours may vary based on business and operational needs.

Responsibilities:

Provides excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.

Responsible for carrier sourcing and development.

Regularly and accurately dispatches customer-controlled freight.

Responsible for verifying carriers are approved and meet all internal/external requirements.

Optimize routing to be cost effective

Acts as liaison for solving driver and carrier issues.

Responsible for maintaining carrier and customer base.

Performs other incidental and related duties as required.

Experience Requirements:2+ years’ transportation and third-party dispatch experience.
1-2 years’ warehouse experience or truck driving experience.
2 years’ dispatching experience

Essential Skills/Experience Strong experience with Microsoft Office Communication with team to demonstrate & set expectations. Be supportive with the team and operations

Working Conditions:

Fast-paced environment.

May be required to work either 2nd or 3rd shifts.

Requires normal vision (corrected) both close and distant.

Requires normal hearing levels (corrected).Requires working at a desk to use a phone and computer for extended periods of time. Requires sitting, bending.

Uses office equipment and machinery effectively.

Requires normal finger dexterity for keyboarding.

Works effectively with frequent interruptions.

Lifting requirements of 50 lbs. occasionally.
