Engineering Technician/Programmer
The Engineering Technician/Programmer is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC mills and lathes to produce high‑quality precision components. This role works closely with engineers and other machinists to optimize manufacturability, troubleshoot machining challenges, and support continuous improvement in a fast‑paced medical manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities- Program, set up, and operate CNC mills and lathes.
- Develop CNC programs using Mastercam.
- Determine and apply appropriate speeds and feeds for plastics, aluminum, and stainless steel.
- Collaborate with engineers to optimize part designs for manufacturability.
- Design and build fixtures and jigs for machining and inspection.
- Set up machines for operators and provide technical support as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance on shop equipment.
- Inspect and verify quality of parts produced by operators.
- Conduct first article inspections on new setups.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend process improvements.
- Communicate effectively with machinists, engineers, and management.
- Cross‑train machinists and operators on various equipment and processes.

Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in a precision manufacturing shop
- Ability to design and build machining fixtures and jigs
- Experience with first article inspections
The position is based in Rogers, MN, with work conducted in‑person. Available shifts include a day shift Monday‑Friday 7:00 AM‑3:30 PM or a night shift Monday‑Thursday 3:00 PM‑1:30 AM, with overtime opportunities available almost every week. The environment is dynamic and fast‑paced, focusing on production of medical devices and specialized products, supporting innovative medical technologies.
Job Type & LocationThis is a contract‑to‑hire position based out of Rogers, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00‑$35.00 /hr.
