Manufacturing Engineer
Rogers, MN | Direct Hire | $80,000-$105,000 | On-Site

Konik is partnering with a leading custom sheet metal fabrication and machining company to add a Manufacturing Engineer to their team. This role supports quoting, process development, and production execution across sheet metal, welded assemblies, and machined components. The ideal candidate combines hands-on fabrication knowledge with strong analytical skills to improve manufacturability, efficiency, and profitability in a high-performing job shop environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and improve manufacturing processes for prototypes and production products, including forming, welding, and assembly.
  • Support production teams by streamlining workflow, reducing setup time, and implementing practical process improvements.
  • Prepare accurate estimates, quotations, routings, and labor assumptions to ensure competitive pricing and margin performance.
  • Review customer drawings, specifications, and models to identify manufacturing risks and cost drivers.
  • Provide technical guidance and hands-on support to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate manufacturing documentation, including BOMs, routings, and ERP data.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and support company growth.
Required Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of manufacturing engineering or fabrication experience.
  • Experience with sheet metal processes including forming, welding, and laser cutting.
  • Proven ability to support accurate estimating, quoting, and manufacturability evaluation.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (Solid Works or similar).
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing workflows, problem-solving, and process optimization.
