Material Handler 1st & 2nd Shift

Schedule:
1st Shift 6:00am-2:30pm Monday - Friday | 2nd Shift 3:00pm - 11:30pm | Occasional overtime on Saturday's
- Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device attached to hoist.
- Loads or unloads materials onto or off of pallets, skids or lifting device by hand as needed.
- Loads parts manually from racks, tubs, and/or bins in warehouse to trays or racks kit carts.
- Follows set route through department to load kit carts.
- Loads and unloads parts manually from paint line.
- Maintains safety checks on necessary equipment.
- Performs duties in a safe, efficient manner in compliance with safety rules and regulations.
- Uses electronic scanner to transact material as needed.
- Keeps aisles clean and orderly.
- Assists in the instruction and training of others as requested by supervisor.
- Completes preventative maintenance and other duties as directed by Total Production Maintenance.
- Performs other non-essential duties as assigned by management.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Ability to follow established methods and procedures and perform work accordingly.
- Ability to work rapidly and under time pressure for extended periods of time.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) at the level normally acquired through the completion of high school or equivalent.
- General instruction on recurring duties, operations or assignments; detailed instruction on new duties, operations or assignments.
The overall level of work is defined as medium duty. Employees are expected to exert 21 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 11 to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
