Line Operator
Position Status: Full-time, Non-Exempt Hourly
Department: Operations
Schedule: Shift work, 12-hour shifts, 4 days on/off. $21.00/ hour base wage + shift differential for nights
Location: The Line Operator is a key member of the Operations team. Line Operators work at various stations of the production line to ensure there is continuous 24/7 production to assemble Photovoltaic Modules in a clean, fast-paced modern manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities- Work within a team of Operators.
- Maintain a clean safe work environment, including keeping the work area in a clean and orderly condition.
- Feed raw materials to semi-automated machines.
- Solder repair to be performed on solar cells.
- Perform quality and testing procedures based on a set criterion at every stage of the production line.
- Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the supervisor.
- Follow all health and safety policies.
- No experience necessary, on-the-job training provided, preference given to those who demonstrate technical capabilities and have manufacturing experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Capable of understanding and following oral and written instructions.
- Maintain production and quality standards
- Ability to follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Ability to lift 30 lbs.
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that requires standing for long periods of time
- Computer experience is considered an asset
- Soldering Experience
- Previous manufacturing experience is an asset
- Self-motivated
- Criminal Background Check and Drug Screening required
- This position is identified as a Safety Sensitive Position
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be able to perform repetitive motion tasks for extended periods of time
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to tolerate an assembly line environment
