Robotic Welder Programmer

Join our innovative manufacturing team as a Robotic Welder Programmer, where you will be at the forefront of automation and precision welding technology. In this dynamic role, you will develop, test, and optimize robotic welding programs to ensure high-quality production while maintaining safety and efficiency standards. Your expertise will directly contribute to streamlining manufacturing processes and advancing our commitment to excellence in product quality.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge robotics systems in a fast-paced, collaborative environment dedicated to continuous improvement.

Develop, modify, and troubleshoot robotic welding programs using Fanuc and other robotics platforms to meet production specifications.

Interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately set up welding operations and tooling configurations.

Utilize AutoCAD and Solid Works to design or review fixtures, tooling, and robotic cell layouts for optimal workflow.

Conduct root cause analysis on welding defects or process issues, implementing corrective actions aligned with lean manufacturing principles.

Integrate vision inspection systems and distributed control systems to enhance quality control and process automation.

Collaborate with mechanical engineers and manufacturing teams to improve robotic cell performance and maintain mechanical integrity.

Maintain detailed documentation of programming procedures, schematics, and system modifications for compliance and training purposes.

Minimum of 5 years of dedicated robotic welding, offline programming, and industrial automation experience.

5+ years of professional manufacturing welding experience, demonstrating a mastery of MIG/TIG methods across various metals, complicated layouts, and blueprint reading (including deep understanding of tight tolerances and dimensions).

High School Diploma or equivalent required. A 2-year technical degree in Welding Technology, Robotic Automation, or a related trade field is highly preferred.

Direct hands-on experience troubleshooting and programming ABB or Fanuc robotic arms. Familiarity with modern ERP environments (e.g., Epicor Kinetic) is a significant plus.

Ability to plan, execute, and troubleshoot highly technical sequences of operations with little to no supervision.

Exceptional mechanical aptitude and advanced troubleshooting skills for both weld defects and robotic programming faults.

Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively bridge gaps between the shop floor, engineering, and project management.

Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds daily, and occasionally heavier loads as required by structural fixturing.
