Registered Nurse - PCU

Overview

Find your calling at Mercy! Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

• Provide patient care using the nursing process.
• Maintain professional accountability for the care of assigned patients.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinate patient care in collaboration with other departments.
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
• Perform duties in alignment with Mercy mission, values, and service standards.

• Education:
  
  Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate s Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• L icensure:
  Obtain and maintain a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure; meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Experience:
  
  Seeking experienced nurses.
• Certifications:
  
  BLS (Basic Life Support) through the American Heart Association or successful completion within 30 days of hire. One or more of the following may be required based on position/unit: ACLS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, PALS, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., C-EFM, or other unit-specific certifications as required.
• Physical Requirements:
  
  Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs; prolonged standing and walking; ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat.
