The Quality Technician works with the team to ensure the quality systems are understood and are in place. The duties of a Quality Technician include the daily collection and evaluation of quality data, assessment of and processing manufacturing inspection, development, training to team members on measurement methods, ensuring equipment is calibrated, materials used are conforming and the processes are set up in accordance with approved manufacturing requirements and inspection of incoming materials.

They are responsible for maintaining a safe work environment.

• Achieves Key Performance Indicator (KPI) objectives by helping develop the appropriate production/quality data collection process.
• Collect the data (including nonconformance) and conduct the appropriate analysis to allow for the appropriate continuous improvement strategic plans to be enacted.
• Help develop quality control plans (QCP) by identifying critical control points and implementing preventive measures or test methods.
• Identify ways to improve existing processes and systems to improve quality and consistency.
• Inspect and monitor products at all stages of production.
• Perform manual and automated quality checks.
• Accomplishes quality assurance human resource objectives by supporting the training of the operations team on the appropriate process quality inspections.
• Prepares quality documentation (NC) and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends including non-conforming assemblies, processes issues, and Supplier / Raw Material issues. Support root cause and corrective actions and validations.

• Responsible for maintaining or supporting calibration requirements.
• Developing and performing a review of incoming documents and completing dimensional inspections of incoming and in-process products using various variable and attribute gauging methods based on QCP and Product Engineer drawings and specifications.

• Supports internal and external audits.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the management officer or delegate.

A high school diploma or GED with preference given to individuals with 1-2 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment in a quality related position or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
