Job Description
Early morning dispatch from Rogers, MN. Starting rate of $24/hour during a brief training period. After training, component pay will be added. 5‑day work week within Monday‑Saturday. Average 10‑12 hours per day. Dispatch times within 12a‑5a; end times vary. $5,000 sign‑on bonus (Terms Apply – any person who has worked for a Performance Food Group (PFG) owned company within the last six months is not eligible to receive this incentive).

Food and food service delivery drivers fulfill a critical role in the country’s food supply chain. Drivers ensure customers’ products arrive at their destination on time and in good condition. Drivers represent the company and build lasting relationships with customers.
Responsibilities- Perform all required safety checks (pre‑post trip) and inspect tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations.
- Report all safety issues and/or repairs required.
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines; immediately report all safety hazards.
- Inspect trailer for proper loading and securing of freight.
- Count items, verify customer invoices, and complete all required paperwork accurately and legibly.
- Move tractor to the loading dock, attach preloaded trailer as needed.
- Drive to and deliver customer orders according to predetermined route schedules.
- Unload products from the trailer and transport items into designated customer storage areas.
- Perform damage control checks, scan items, and contact supervisor about order removals per company policy.
- Verify delivery of items with customers and obtain proper signatures.
- Collect money (cash or checks) when required.
- Load customer returns onto the trailer and secure trailer doors.
- Ensure that tractor, trailer, and freight are locked and/or always secured.
- Unload damaged goods and customer returns, bring to the driver check‑in, and complete necessary paperwork.
- Unload all equipment, materials, and remove trash from trailers as required.
- Complete the daily record of hours of service and enter it in the log in accordance with federal DOT, state, and company requirements.
- Perform general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area, and keep trailers clear and clean as required.
- At the end of the shift, secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- 12 months commercial driving experience.
- High school diploma/GED or state‑approved equivalent.
- Valid CDL
B. - Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years.
- Pass post‑offer drug test and criminal background check.
- Pass road test.
- Valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure a new DOT Health Card.
- Able to hand‑lift and utilize two‑wheeled, lift gate, and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight ranging from about 10‑35 pounds and up to approximately 60‑90 pounds.
Performance Food service, PFG’s broadline distributor, maintains a unique relationship with a variety of local customers, including independent restaurants, hotels, healthcare facilities, schools, and quick‑service eateries. A team of sales reps, chefs, consultants, and other experts builds close relationships with customers — providing advice on improving operations, menu development, product selection, and operational strategies. The Performance team delivers delicious food but also goes above and beyond to help independent restaurant owners achieve their dreams.
