Overview

Heartflow is a medical technology company focused on advancing the diagnosis and management of coronary artery disease. The Heartflow FFR CT Analysis provides a color‑coded, 3D model of a patient s coronary arteries to help clinicians assess the impact of blockages on blood flow. The company supports the CCTA pathway with Road Map  Analysis, FFR CT Analysis, and Plaque Analysis, and is seeking to grow its team to revolutionize precision heartcare.

As Strategic Finance Manager, you will sit at the center of near‑term and long‑range financial planning, partnering with finance leadership and cross‑functional teams to build models, scenarios, and analyses that guide Heartflow s strategic decisions. This is a high‑visibility role intended to influence how a mission‑driven company grows.

• Financial Modeling Support: Own key components of the company s integrated financial models, including rolling forecasts (monthly/quarterly) and long‑range plans, with a focus on revenue, gross margin, and operating expense projections.
• Commercial‑to‑Financial Translation: Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate business inputs into financial outputs, ensuring unit economics are captured accurately and analyzed.
• Scenario Analysis & Modeling: Build and maintain scenario models to stress‑test operating alternatives and market dynamics, delivering insights for strategic decisions.
• Pricing & Contract Analysis: Work with commercial leadership to model pricing structures, contract frameworks, and customer valuations, quantifying business impact where it matters most.
• Cost & Resource Allocation Translation: Partner with cross‑functional teams to translate headcount, vendor spend, and project pipelines into accurate financial outputs and ensure budgets are well managed.
• AI‑Native Workflows: Apply AI tools and LLMs in financial analysis, data synthesis, and presentation development to shape modern finance practices.
• Analytics & Reporting: Conduct detailed financial analysis, sensitivity analysis, and variance reviews to provide leadership with clarity for decision making.

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify financial insights and opportunities.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to structure logical approaches and apply analytical techniques with speed and precision.
• Proficiency in scenario planning and sensitivity analysis.
• Curiosity and critical thinking with a strong interest in Heartflow s business and industry.
• Thrives in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
• AI mindset and comfort using LLMs and modern tools for problem solving.
• Advanced expertise with MS Excel for financial modeling and data analysis.
• Ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership and cross‑functional teams.
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

• Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (required).
• 8+ years of experience in finance, strategic planning, financial analysis, or related roles.
• Advanced Excel skills with complex financial modeling and analysis.
• Medical device, Biopharma, or healthcare technology experience (preferred but not required).
• Comfort leading or contributing to meetings with senior leadership (C‑suite and department heads).

This position requires a hybrid schedule:

• San Francisco or Rohnert Park office:
  Three times per week
