Job Description & How to Apply Below

Build the safety culture at one of the West's leading wholesale distributors!

PACE Supply is a 100% employee-owned wholesale distributor of plumbing, waterworks, HVAC and industrial products, serving contractors and communities across the western United States. Our people are our owners, and keeping every one of them safe is not a program — it is how we operate.

We are looking for an Environmental, Health and Safety Manager to develop, implement and continuously improve EHS programs across our multi-site warehouse, distribution and production operations. This is a hands‑on, high‑visibility role. You will spend most of your time in the field — walking warehouses and yards, coaching supervisors, investigating incidents and making sure corrective actions actually close.

If you would rather build a safety culture than administer a binder, this is your seat.

Why PACE Supply
  • 100% employee-owned. Every employee is an owner through our ESOP — your work builds your own stake.
  • Real influence. This position reports directly to the EHS Director and presents to senior leadership. You will shape the program, not just maintain it.
  • Scale. 37 locations across the western U.S., with the variety of warehouse, distribution and production environments that comes with it.
  • Benefits. Medical, dental and vision; 401(k); ESOP; paid time off and holidays.
OSHA Compliance and Program Management
  • Establish safety policies, guidelines and procedures, and maintain environmental policy and procedure manuals.
  • Conduct safety risk assessments, hazard analyses and site inspections of racking, warehouse, yard and equipment.
  • Prepare hazard and corrective‑action reports for branch managers and supervisors.
  • Review and audit site safety programs for compliance with federal, state and local requirements.
  • Observe work practices in the field and coach employees and supervisors on identifying and correcting unsafe conditions.
  • Attend branch safety trainings and coach safety coaches and supervisors on effective training technique.
  • Keep current on regulatory changes that affect the organization and train employees accordingly.
Incident Investigation
  • Lead thorough investigations of incidents, accidents and near‑misses, including root‑cause analysis.
  • Gather metrics, analyze data and implement corrective actions.
  • Prepare Accident Review Board (ARB) summary reports with cause analysis for ARB review.
EHS Data Analysis and Continuous Improvement
  • Develop and maintain EHS metrics, dashboards and reports.
  • Analyze incident, near‑miss, audit, training and compliance data to identify trends and areas of risk.
  • Present EHS performance and recommendations to leadership.
  • Track corrective actions through completion and evaluate their effectiveness.
Training Coordination
  • Schedule forklift, CPR, environmental and OSHA certifications and trainings.
  • Build and maintain a process to track all safety, environmental and compliance training, following up branch by branch.
Environmental and OSHA Reporting
  • Annual HMBP submission on CERS.
  • Annual OSHA Injury Tracking Application (ITA) submission for all 37 locations.
  • Distribute OSHA 300 logs to all locations annually.
Emergency Preparedness and Response
  • Create and implement emergency response plans and protocols.
  • Coordinate emergency drills and training exercises.
  • Collaborate with local emergency services and responders.
  • Ensure necessary emergency response resources are available.
  • Associate degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science or a related field — or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive EHS experience, including direct responsibility for safety and environmental programs across multiple warehouse, distribution, manufacturing or production locations.
  • Proven…
