Position Summary:
Responsible for providing excellent customer service to guests at a poolside area, taking food and drink orders, delivering items, and ensuring a pleasant and safe poolside experience. The role involves working in a high-energy, outdoor environment while ensuring guests' needs are met in a timely and professional manner, while maintaining proper health standards and a safe work environment.
Essential Functions:
1. Responsible for redefining hospitality at Graton Resort & Casino while living, supporting, and promoting our values.
2. Perform responsibilities in accordance with all Graton Resort & Casino standards, policies, and
procedures.
3. Teach their role to new team members as requested by management.
4. Ensure a positive, welcoming atmosphere at all times.
5. Cash handling and payment processing.
6. Maintain designated area clean while serving beverages, serving cabanas, daybeds and/or lounge
area within the designated area and all other assigned areas.
7. Provide menu recommendations, answer questions about food and drinks, and offer information about special promotions or events.
8. Observe and anticipate guest's needs, checking on the guest regularly. Deliver all items to the guests in a timely and accurate fashion.
9. Knowledge of reservation log and update throughout the day as needed.
10. Inform the manager on duty of any guest opportunities.
11. Properly utilize cleaning supplies including stainless steel cleaner, disinfectants and all-purpose
cleaners.

Required Qualifications:
1. Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
2. One plus (1+) year of previous Food and Beverage experience in a fast-paced environment with
cocktail serving experience.
3. Experience in large and heavy tray handling is preferred, possess excellent interpersonal service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor, manage multiple tasks and remain calm and produce expected results in a very high paced environment, ability to speak and to listen in a public forum, basic math skills are required, and ability to handle cash and accurately make change.
4. Must have knowledge and ability to perform proper beverage service.
5. Ability to pronounce entire wine list and menu items.
6. Must have full knowledge of the sequence of service for pool.
7. Must be able to pay attention to detail.
8. Stock all food and beverages in pool areas.
9. Responsible for stocking all products in pool areas.
10. Must have knowledge of health code regulations and ensure that the designated work area is
maintained to the proper standards.
11. Must have working knowledge of outlet food and beverage menus including glossary of terms, proper portion control, preparation and ingredients of all menu items, daily specials and pricing.
12. Must have knowledge of all safety procedures and emergency evacuation procedures for the guests and team members.
13. Must be aware of the location of the SDS booklets.
14. Must have the ability to manage time effectively with a minimum of supervision.
15. Ability to communicate effectively with guests, team members and management in both written and verbal form.
16. Must have flexibility to work varying work schedules based upon business demands and scheduled events.
17. Maintain accurate and proper comp and cash handling procedures, using cash bank, cash register, cash drop, slot bank, and POS terminal functions in accordance with department policies.
18. Must be able to obtain California Food Handler Certification, and Responsible Beverage Service State Certification. Must keep all current required work cards on your person during your shift.
Physical Requirements:
1. Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance and above 50 pounds with assistance for entirety of shift.
2. Ability to climb, bend, reach, push, pull, stoop, grasp, walk, sit and stand for up to 85% of shift.
3. Hand/eye coordination and the ability to use sensory faculties for entirety of shift.
4. Must have the ability to withstand high and low temperatures, heat, sun, wind and rain for entirety of shift.
5. Ability to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as up and down ladders, stairs
and/or service ramps frequently up to 85% of shift.
6. Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, grasping, and stooping for up to 85% of shift.
7. Require manual dexterity to operate job related equipment for entirety of shift.
8. Normal hearing range for entirety of shift.
