Position: FIELD TRAINING OFFICER

Security Officer/Field Training Officer

In addition to Security Officer responsibilities, Field Training Officer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring training for newly hired Security Team Members and ongoing training for existing Security Team Members.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for redefining hospitality at Graton Resort & Casino while living, supporting, and promoting our values.
  • Perform responsibilities in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Patrol and observe all public areas, Team Member service areas, and company grounds for the safety of Guests and Team Members.
  • Respond to all disturbances. Be aware of your surroundings and prepared to become involved in a physical confrontation if necessary.
  • Observe, report, and respond to all suspicious and unusual situations in accordance with department and company policy.
  • Know and enforce all applicable laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Detect and address actions and hazards that may result in liability for the company.
  • Respond to and assist in all emergencies, including but not limited to fires, medical emergencies, and criminal activity.
  • Have thorough knowledge and perform all evacuation procedures for the property.
  • Respond to all non-routine incidents in a supportive capacity, ensuring appropriate action is taken and notifications are made.
  • Transport and protect company funds and assets.
  • Conduct follow-up investigations on reports as directed.
  • Complete incident reports as directed by Security Management.
  • Assist in the lost and found process including receiving, logging, storing, and returning lost items.
  • Facilitate and assist the Guests with the Self-Restriction process as requested.
  • Assume Dispatch role, assigning Security personnel on shift to designated tasks, ensure communication flows, and log information.
  • Maintain a daily log of activities and incidents involving Security.
  • Assists Security Management plan and schedule security activities for the department.
  • Mentoring Security personnel, and provide remedial training as needed.
  • Creates and maintains training related paperwork.
  • Train, inspect and evaluate Security Officers for alertness, appearance, and proper performance while on duty and correct deficiencies.
  • Maintain a high level of personal integrity.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all information related to company and security operations.
  • Practice teamwork, support fellow Team Members, and create an energized and positive work atmosphere.
  • Maintain grooming and uniform standards.
  • Inspect and maintain all company issued equipment.
  • Have knowledge of SDS booklet location for your assigned area and familiarization.
  • May assume the role of Security Officer.

- Essential Functions:

  • Organizing their work area, including, but not limited to, the Security Dispatch Office, Security Podium, the Security Administration Office, Bike Cage, and Security vehicles, keeping those work areas clean.
  • Administrative tasks as assigned by management, including, but not limited to:
    • Reconciliation of lost and found items after their retention period.
    • Assignment, reassignment, and clearing of Team Member lockers.
    • Stocking/checking inventory to Security work spaces and Medical Bags.
    • Transportation of company bicycles and vehicles on and off property for maintenance and repair.
    • Transportation of lost and found items that have been reconciled to designated location for donation or disposal.
    • Transportation of Team Members to designated health care providers for work-related injuries when requested as part of the worker's compensation process.

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.
