Medical Office Assistant (Patient Care Coordinator) – Rolla, MO
Starting at $18.00‑$20.00/hour (based on experience). Part Time.

The Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) professionally manages the patient process through front‑office administration, including answering patient calls, scheduling appointments, processing insurance verifications, completing administrative and financial reports, creating invoices, and ordering equipment and supplies. The primary goal is to provide excellent customer service in a professional atmosphere.
Objectives & GoalsThe PCC will strive to increase revenue by ensuring patients are scheduled efficiently and by reaching or exceeding targeted sales and marketing goals.
Responsibilities- Greet all visitors.
- Answer multi‑line telephone calls and arrange appointments for the Hearing Care Professional (HCP).
- Direct callers to the appropriate destination and record name, time of call, nature of business, media referral, and person called upon.
- Schedule follow‑up appointments.
- Ensure quality customer service.
- Oversee the daily operation of services for the location, including the execution of contracts, deposits, and billing.
- Verify patients' insurance eligibility and benefits through all insurance carriers.
- Collect and distribute mail, messages, and reports to the appropriate staff members.
- Maintain patient files and database according to HIPAA regulations and ensure information is up‑to‑date.
- Respect patients by recognizing their rights and maintaining confidentiality.
- Make phone calls to existing patients to generate business (no cold‑calling).
- Assist the HCP by executing the "Cleaning Process" on patients' hearing instruments.
- Prepare and generate reports for the clinic and corporate office.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the office.
- Perform a variety of additional administrative tasks as needed.
- All other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Two (2) years of previous medical or general office experience preferred.
- Two (2) years of previous customer service experience preferred.
- Must be well organized and able to multitask efficiently.
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Must be proficient in MS Office and have good computer skills.
- Must be able to sit at a desk for 70%-90% of the workday in a general office environment.

- Part‑time (16 hours/week), Monday & Wednesday, 9am‑5pm – no evenings or weekends.
