Construction General Laborer
This temporary day-shift role supports the superintendent and project team on a school renovation project by handling site cleanup, punch list completion, and general jobsite support as the project ramps up. The assignment is expected to last a few weeks, with potential opportunities to continue on longer projects afterward.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general site cleanup, including debris removal, sweeping, and keeping work areas organized and free of hazards.
- Assist with punch list items such as minor repairs, touch-ups, and project closeout tasks to help prepare the site for completion.
- Support the superintendent with daily jobsite needs, coordination, and on-site logistics.
- Move, stage, and organize materials, tools, and equipment as directed to ensure efficient workflow.
- Assist various trades by keeping their work areas clean, accessible, and ready for upcoming tasks.
- Perform light construction tasks such as basic demolition, patching, and material handling as needed.
- Maintain safe jobsite conditions by following all safety protocols and reporting any hazards or issues promptly.
- Help prepare areas for inspections and final walkthroughs, ensuring work spaces meet cleanliness and quality standards.
Essential
Skills:
- Previous construction or general labor experience preferred, particularly on active job sites.
- Experience with site cleanup, finish work, or punch list work is a plus.
- Comfortable using hand tools and power tools in a construction environment.
- Ability to follow direction closely and work in alignment with site leadership and project requirements.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a willingness to take on a variety of tasks as project needs evolve.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding work throughout the shift.
- Ability to work safely and effectively in an active construction environment.
- Familiarity with construction, carpentry, demolition practices, and OSHA 10 safety principles is beneficial.

- Experience supporting multiple trades on construction or renovation projects.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with site leadership and various trades.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work consistently during the scheduled day shift.
- Willingness to learn new tasks and adapt to changing project phases.

Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $48.49 - $48.49/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
