Academic​/Instructor Summer Theatre Academy Instructor Ozark Actors Theatre Rolla , MO

Ozark Actors Theatre (OAT) is a small nonprofit professional theater located in Rolla Missouri. We are seeking a passionate, intelligent artist and educator to lead our Summer Theatre Academy (STA) courses for children and young adults. In addition to these duties, we are looking for a director/choreographer to direct our youth production.

Job Requirements:

• Candidate must have a bachelors degree or equivalent training in the theatre industry
• Candidate must have youth direction and/or choreography experience with young adults.

Job Duties:

• Take curriculum plans as set by the OAT education committee and turn them into actionable courses for three weeks of classes.
• Teach those three weeks of courses to young artists aged 7 to 18.
• Collaborate with guest artists and clinicians on workshops involving musical theater, costume design, technical theater, props design, etc.
• Create and file intake forms for students to track their allergies, pronouns, emergency and daily contact information, etc.
• Report progress of programming to the OAT education committee, and the Producing Artistic Director.
• File media release forms for students involved.
• Work closely with OAT education committee lead to create a suitable capstone project for each week’s courses.
• Create a rehearsal schedule for the youth production.
• Collaborate with designers and volunteers to run a smooth technical rehearsal.
• Be on site for performances August 6-9, 2026.
