JOB TITLE: Recruitment & Community Outreach Coordinator
DEPARTMENT: Rolla
LEVEL: 203 FLSA: Exempt
East Central College has an opening for a full time Recruitment and Community Outreach Coordinator. This position supports student recruitment, enrollment, and community engagement efforts for the Rolla site. This position provides guidance to prospective students on academic programs, admissions, and career pathways while developing and maintaining relationships with K-12 schools, business and industry partners, community organizations, and transfer institutions.
Minimum Qualifications- Completion of a bachelor’s degree and one-year related work experience
- Counsel students on program options, career pathways, and the admissions process through one-on-one appointments, group sessions, and events.
- Maintain knowledge of programs & course offerings, admission requirements, financial aid, and industry trends to provide accurate guidance to prospective students.
- Collaborate with college staff to schedule admissions processes of campus (i.e. high school FAFSA nights, remote placement testing, etc.)
- Develop recruitment strategy specifically for the Rolla site to include setup and staffing of promotional booths, exhibits, and displays at community events.
- Proactively identify transfer and employment needs through partnership with school districts and local employers
- Build and maintain relationships with area high school counselors, teachers and parents to facilitate recruitment and enrollment of high school students in ECC dual credit courses.
- Conduct regular on-site visits to partner high schools (requiring travel).
- Provide direct support to Early College students and Dual Credit instructors which may include coordinating, scheduling, and proctoring required admissions, pre-, and post-assessments for early college and dual credit programs.
- Explore opportunities to build and maintain relationships with area middle school counselors, teachers and students.
- Facilitate the process of information requests, student admissions documentation, and the organization of campus tours at the Rolla site.
- Promote college resources for both potential and new students. This would include the college’s scholarship application, career exploration days, new student orientation, and other similar events.
- Create and maintain an advisory board comprised of college employees, business and industry partners, transfer partners, and school district partners to provide an opportunity for curriculum input, career readiness discussion, and current and upcoming employment/transfer trends.
- Perform assigned responsibilities, and other related duties, and tasks according to established practices, procedures, techniques, and standards in a safe manner and with minimal supervision.

Salary range$49,714.24 - $68,677.18. While the full salary range is provided for growth potential, most new hires are initially placed within the lower portion of the range based on experience and institutional compensation guidelines. Position is level 203.
