Design & Construction Management oversees the planning, design, and delivery of construction and renovation projects that support campus facilities. The department manages large-scale capital projects and works with campus partners, consultants, and contractors to deliver functional, high-performance spaces. Recent and ongoing projects include the Innovation Lab, Welcome Center, Protoplex, and Bioplex.

Job Description

This position will serve as a project manager for major capital projects as assigned and will the support in-house design team with engineering support, design, and act as the sealing professional engineer and engineer of record as required for electrical design scope and other engineering projects and will coordinate design efforts with other design disciplines as needed. This position will also act as a consulting engineer and resource for in-house design, the department, and department leadership as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide support to in-house design staff as requested and assigned by the director and or the assistant director of design services to achieve project goals.

* Will act as the main point of contact and project manager for capital and non-capital projects as assigned by the director

* Participate in and provide expertise for design reviews on capital and non-capital projects as requested

* Perform administrative functions, such as reviewing or authoring reports

* Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

25 plus years of engineering project management and design experience

Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
