The Pharmacy Technician I assists pharmacists in preparing, compounding, and dispensing medications and is accountable to the supervising pharmacist who is legally responsible for the care and safety of the patients served by the pharmacy. The Pharmacy Technician I follows applicable standards and federal, state & local laws and regulations for the care and safety of the customers and patients served.
Position OverviewAs a Pharmacy Technician, you will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to assist with the preparation, compounding, and dispensing of medications. You will play a key role in ensuring patient safety, regulatory compliance, and outstanding service for the communities we serve.
Floater Position:
This role will provide coverage between our Lebanon, Rolla, and St. Robert locations.
- Assist pharmacists in preparing, compounding, and dispensing medications
- Support safe and accurate medication distribution
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations
- Follow established pharmacy standards and procedures
- Deliver exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare teams
- Contribute to a safe, efficient, and patient-focused pharmacy environment
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
Licensure
- Active Missouri Board of Pharmacy Technician registration in good standing, or willingness to obtain registration by the first day of employment
- Must complete fingerprinting and FBI background check requirements
Experience
- Previous pharmacy experience preferred but not required
Other Requirements
- Successful completion of pharmacy department orientation
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
Licensure
- Active Missouri Board of Pharmacy Technician registration in good standing, or willingness to obtain registration by the first day of employment
- Must complete fingerprinting and FBI background check requirements
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant pharmacy experience required
- 2+ years preferred
Certification
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) required
