Therapist – Physical Therapy Assistant

$1380.40/week –

Job Summary:

The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) supports physical therapists in delivering patient care across all age groups. They assist with therapeutic exercises, patient positioning, and administrative tasks to ensure smooth clinic operations.

Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with exercises and stretching routines as directed by the Physical Therapist.
• Read and implement treatment plans provided by the Physical Therapist.
• Collaborate with the Physical Therapist to adapt care plans based on patient progress.
• Educate patients and families on at-home care techniques and exercises.
• Ensure the therapy area is clean, organized, and ready for patient use.
• Transfer patients safely from wheelchairs or walkers to therapy surfaces.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid PTA license.
• Have at least 1 year of relevant PT experience.
• Demonstrate experience in long-term care or rehabilitation settings.
• Hold current BLS certification.
• Possess a valid state license to practice as a PTA in Missouri.
