Certified Medication Technician

Job Summary

Cardinal Correctional Care is looking to hire a Certified Medication Technician to join our team working in a correctional institution setting. This position will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care under the supervision of physicians and Nurses. This position requires a compassionate individual who is dedicated to improving patient outcomes through effective communication and clinical skills.

• Conduct physical examinations and assess patients' health status by taking vital signs and documenting findings.
• Administer medications and treatments ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Provide care for patients with infectious diseases, offering education on prevention and management.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care, including referrals to specialists when necessary.

• Must have CMT Certificate
• Proficient in medical terminology and understanding of internal medicine practices.
• Knowledgeable in infectious disease care protocols and best practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while maintaining professionalism.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Correctional Healthcare Experience is a PLUS but not mandatory.
