In 1957, a grassroots organization formed the Rolla Cerebral Palsy School in Phelps County, Missouri. From those humble beginnings, Choices for People was born and now provides Day, Community, and Residential Services to over 350 individuals in 30 plus counties throughout Missouri.

Hours:
Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
Status:
Full time. Non-Exempt
Starting Salary Range:
$20.00-$22.00 per hour

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Maintain employee personnel files and Human Resource Information System (HRIS) records with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Coordinate leave administration, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, workers' compensation, and other applicable leave programs.
- Assist employees and supervisors by responding to questions regarding policies, benefits, and HR procedures.
- Support employee investigations, disciplinary processes, and employee relations matters while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
- Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and organizational policies.
- Coordinate required background screenings, drug screenings, license verifications, and other pre-employment and ongoing compliance requirements.
- Assist with HR audits, reporting requirements, and data analysis to ensure organizational compliance and operational efficiency.
- Generate HR reports and maintain employment metrics for leadership review.
- Participate in HR projects, process improvements, and strategic initiatives to improve departmental effectiveness.
- Maintain knowledge of relevant employment laws, HR best practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate and timely records related to employee files, benefits, leave administration, compliance activities, and other assigned documentation.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all employee, applicant, and organizational information and comply with HIPAA and all applicable privacy and confidentiality laws.
- Support strategic planning related to workforce development, employee engagement, recruitment, retention, and organizational growth.
- Maintain knowledge of relevant industry trends, best practices, and regulations related to event planning, accessibility, and nonprofit engagement.
