The Project Manager – North America is responsible for leading cross‑functional manufacturing, CAPEX, R&D, and operational projects across North American facilities. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and aligned with organizational objectives.
Key Activities (include but are not limited to):
Project Planning- Develop comprehensive project plans outlining objectives, timelines, resources, and budget requirements.
- Break down deliverables into actionable tasks and create detailed schedules.
- Allocate personnel, equipment, and materials efficiently to ensure timely and cost‑effective execution.
- Provide CAD support for products, R&D initiatives, CAPEX projects, maintenance, and operations.
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Continuously assess risks throughout the project lifecycle and implement corrective actions.
- Engage internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements and manage expectations.
- Maintain strong working relationships across departments and sites.
- Facilitate clear communication through meetings, reports, and project updates.
- Resolve conflicts or issues that arise during project execution.
- Establish quality assurance and control processes.
- Ensure deliverables meet project and company standards.
- Manage changes to scope, schedule, and resources.
- Assess impacts, obtain approvals, and adjust plans as needed.
- Monitor project costs and ensure adherence to budget constraints.
- Identify cost‑saving opportunities where feasible.
- Establish KPIs to measure progress and performance.
- Provide regular status reports to stakeholders and leadership.
- Coordinate project close‑out, documentation, and stakeholder acceptance.
- Conduct post‑project reviews and capture lessons learned.
- Provide leadership and direction to cross‑functional project teams.
- Delegate tasks, motivate contributors, and foster collaboration.

- Bachelor’s degree in Maintenance, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Proficiency in Lean principles including problem solving, standard work, flow, and continuous improvement.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, CAD (Solid Works/AutoCAD), CMMS, and ERP systems.
- 3–5+ years of relevant project management experience.
- 3–5 years of people leadership experience.
- Manufacturing, packaging, or pulp and paper industry experience preferred.
This position is based in Rolla, Missouri and requires regular travel to Hartmann’s Brantford, Ontario facility and other North American sites as required. The role operates across both unionized and non‑unionized environments without direct union supervisory responsibility.
