Lab Assistant Intern

Brewer Science, Inc. is a major innovator of high‑technology solutions for the semiconductor / microelectronics markets. We are currently seeking a purpose‑driven candidate with an ownership mentality to fill an open position as a Lab Assistant Intern (full‑time, 40 hrs per week in the Summer and part‑time, 15–20 hrs per week during the school year). This position will be in Rolla, MO.

Conducts laboratory analyses, experiments, and processes to support research and development projects.

• Takes ownership of small development sub‑projects as assigned.
• Designs and conducts experiments, including instrument operation, sample preparation, and performance characterization, under minimal supervision.
• Processes data and provides analysis summary and may present results at group meetings.
• Creates new testing processes and improves upon current processes.
• Applies knowledge and understanding of safety and housekeeping standards in daily activities.
• Learn and keep familiar with lab procedures.
• Communicates with supervisor and team members, and may be assigned to cross‑functional teams.

• High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate with laboratory experience, and currently pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will also be considered.
