Import/Export Interns assist with shipping documentation, order processing, safety data sheets (SDS), and customer communications to support domestic and international shipments. They coordinate with freight forwarders and customs brokers, process shipment documents, and support customers with shipping and dangerous goods inquiries.
Responsibilities- Assist with paperwork, order processing, SDS, and customer order communications via email and internal systems.
- Maintain records for Customer End Use Statements (CEUS) and ensure updated CEUS files and export screening checks are completed before shipment for international accounts.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers to arrange transportation and customs clearance, providing required documentation and ensuring compliance.
- Receive, review, and process documentation for assigned accounts, adhering to best practice procedures.
- Support customers with questions about dangerous goods preparation and shipment.
- Resolve shipping issues when possible and escalate when necessary.
- Pursuing an associate’s, bachelor’s, or master’s degree.
