How You’ll Make an Impact

The Procurement Manager is responsible for supporting the sourcing and procurement needs of the enterprise by assisting in the analysis & planning, negotiating, selecting, implementing, monitoring, governing and terminating of vendor relationships. Procurement is a strategic service to the business.

This position will leverage experience and knowledge to establish sustainable commercial relationships that deliver value to Gallagher. A successful candidate will develop and implement cost‑optimization/savings opportunities, while balancing operational performance.

The position will work closely with cross‑functional leadership and stakeholders within the US as well as globally.

Specific Assigned Sourcing Responsibilities

• Perform procurement activities across designated areas:
  Technology Hardware, Software, and Consulting.

Procurement/Strategic Sourcing Responsibilities

• Manage the full sourcing process including strategy development, industry benchmarking, supplier segmentation, negotiations, award recommendation, business case creation, risk assessment, and contract documentation.
• Deliver savings/financial targets in line with company objectives.
• Demonstrate leadership, influence others, and interact successfully with peers and all levels of management.
• Create relationships that adhere to company standards for compliance and minimize organizational risk.
• Implement strategies including creation of RFx documents, define selection criteria, and lead supplier selection in partnership with business stakeholders.
• Manage supplier performance against contracted terms and ensure adherence to functional and technical requirements.

About You Required

• University degree or equivalent experience and minimum 6 years of relevant experience.

Preferred

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Procurement or a related Sourcing function.
• Adept at spend and data analytics, and anticipating market trends.
• Experience managing a portfolio of projects against the 5- or 7‑step procurement process.
• Proficiency in contract terms negotiation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
