Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Merger Integration Leader to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring the seamless integration of acquired businesses into our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in program management, problem‑solving, relationship building, and change management. As a Wave Leader, you will oversee and coordinate integration activities across multiple work streams and locations, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and delivering value through a structured and collaborative approach.

you’ll make an impact

Program Management:

  • Lead and manage the integration process for assigned waves, ensuring timely execution of deliverables and milestones.
  • Work with project managers for each implementation to develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and status reports to track progress and identify risks.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional teams, including finance, operations, HR, IT, and legal, to ensure alignment and accountability.
  • Monitor and report on integration performance metrics, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.

Problem Solving:

  • Identify and address integration challenges, risks, and roadblocks proactively.
  • Develop creative and practical solutions to complex problems, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
  • Facilitate decision‑making processes by providing data‑driven insights and recommendations.

Relationship Building:

  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executives, functional leaders, and acquired company teams.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and liaison between the acquiring and acquired organizations.
  • Foster collaboration and open communication to ensure alignment and buy‑in across all levels of the organization.

Change Management:

  • Develop and implement change management strategies to support the integration process and ensure a smooth transition.
  • Communicate the vision, goals, and benefits of the integration to all stakeholders.
  • Address cultural differences and promote a unified organizational culture.
  • Provide training, resources, and support to help employees adapt to new processes, systems, and structures.
About you
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in program management, mergers and acquisitions, or related roles.
  • Overnight and/or day travel may be required up to 50% of the time.

  • Proven track record of leading complex integration projects with cross‑functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
