Renewable Energy Superintendent

The Superintendent(Renewable Energy Division ) isresponsibleformonitoringprojectsthroughtheirfulllifecyclewithastrongfocuson
safety,quality,field leadership,schedule execution,documentation,and communication
.Thisroleworkscloselywiththeprojectmanager/projectteamandtheownersteam,andmustbehighlyorganized,proactive,andabletoperforminafast-paced environment.

Renewable Energyprojectsrequirestrongfieldleadershipacrossmultiplescopesandfast-moving schedules,often including:

• Oversightofsubcontractorsacross
  civil,electrical,mechanical,andtestingscopes
• Experience with
  ground-mount solar
  andcommonsystemsincluding
  fixedtiltandtrackersystems
• Strongdailyfieldexecutionpracticesincluding
  look-aheads,daily reporting
  ,andproactiveissueresolution
• Solar-specificsafetyexposure,includingPPEconsiderationsnotedfor"site-specificwork(i.e.,solar)"andtheneedforhearingprotectionwhererenewableenergymechanismscreatehazards
• HeightenedfocusonfallprotectionrequirementsforrooftopPVenvironmentswhereapplicable(includingrequiredsetbacksanddefinedfallprotectionapproachesnearroofedges)

• Develop
  phasingplansandlook-ahead schedules
  whilecommunicatingprogressupdatestotheprojectteamandstakeholders.
• Trackprojectprogressandmaintainschedulesonaregularbasis.
• Coordinateallconstructionactivitieswithtradepartnersandstakeholderstofacilitatecompletionoftheproject.
• OwndailyfieldexecutionandcoordinationwiththePMteam;proactivelysurfacerisks,constraints,and staffing/schedule needs.

• Organizeandmaintain
  safe,clean,andorderlyprojectsiteandworkingenvironment
  .
• Enforcesitesafetyrequirementsandensurecompliancewithapplicablesafety/healthstandards.
• Monitorinstalledworkforquality;enforcequalitycontrolplansandcorrectdeficienciesquickly.
• Apply solar-awarePPEpracticesandhazardcontrolswhereworkmayinvolvesolar-specific risks.

• ActasaliaisonforBEARandprojectownersonsiteinaprofessionalmanner.
• CollaborateandcommunicateclearlyandconciselywithBEARprojectteam,owners,architect/engineer,trade partners,subcontractors,and suppliers.
• Provideclearwrittendocumentationtoallpartiesinvolvedontheproject.

• Readandunderstandprojectdocumentsincludingdrawings,shop drawings,specifications,product datasheets,and schedules.
• Manage,track,anddocumentprojectactivitiesincludingsafety,schedules,daily reports,trade hours,materialdeliverytracking,RFIs/submittalsstatus,photodocumentation,change documentation,andpunchlistitems.
• Utilizeprojectdocumentationtools(experiencewithtoolslikeExcel/Procore/SmartsheethasbeennotedinBEARRenewableEnergysuperintendentscreening).
• Understandtheimportanceofproperaccountingphasecodesandassigningtime.
• Maintainstrongphotodocumentationpractices.

• Coordinatesubcontractorsandworkflowstomaintainqualityandpaceofworkacrossscopes.
• SupportQC,layout/verification,inspections,andmaterialverificationaspartofdailyexecutionexpectations.

• Manageequipmentandmaterialsasrequired;trackdeliveriesandstaging.
• Coordinateactivitieswithlocalpermitagenciesasneeded.
• Resolveon-siteissuesandemergenciesquicklyandeffectively.

• Previousexperienceasaconstruction Superintendent preferred.
• Field experience,trade school,orcollegedegree(Construction Management/Engineering preferred).
• Knowledgeoflocalquality,safety,andhealthguidelinesforconstructionjobsites.
• FamiliaritywithMSOfficepreferred;comfortusingdocumentationandcoordinationtools.
• Procoreandschedulingsoftwareawareness.
• Strongorganizationalandtime-management skills;abilitytoleadandinspire.
