: $16.00 - $18.00 Hourly

The Preschool Teacher is a part time seasonal position working directly under the supervision of the Early Childhood Coordinator. The Preschool Teacher is responsible for a variety of duties including: having a thorough understanding of the guidelines concerning the operation of the Preschool program, supervision of, and leadership of their classroom. This is an at-will position.

• Responsible for the teaching of a group of 10-20 children, in all school activities and events.
• Required to participate in all planned activities on a daily basis, as well as special activities.
• Responsible for the daily physical set up of Preschool area. Maintenance of materials and their storage area.
• Cooperate with co-workers and administrative staff.
• Complete all necessary forms as needed. (Lesson Plans and Accident reports).
• Ensure the safety of students at all times and follow up on all accident and situation reports.
• Adhere to general rules and policies of the Rolling Meadows Park District.

• Maintain cleanliness of school site.
• Maintain cleanliness of park site.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Early Childhood Program Coordinator.
• It is the responsibility of all Park District employees to pick up litter throughout the building, grounds, and facilities of the District.
• Staff is expected to help with the successful implementation of programs, parks, and services across program areas and between departments

Minimum of 18 years of age. Bachelor of Science degree in Education or Associates degree in Early Childhood Education is desired but not a requirement. Must have successful progressive experience in working with children.
