Rolling Meadows High School is seeking exceptional candidates with a strong commitment to helping all students maximize their learning while achieving success with our district goals. Business Education 1.0 FTESpecific Qualifications
- State of Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Senior HS endorsement in Business Education,
- Master's in Business or Masters with 18 credit hours in business courses preferred (for dual credit accounting/business),
- The applicant must be an experienced, outstanding educator and be willing to teach all levels of Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Consumer education, and/or ELL courses,
- Must be able and willing to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners,
- Must work effectively within our Professional Learning Community model, which means working with teams of teachers to develop creative instructional strategies and resources, based on best practices, which enable our students to exceed state goals and standards,
- It is an expectation that the teacher will utilize research-based instructional strategies for increasing student achievement and strive to become a distinguished educator,
- Must be well-versed in a variety of assessment practices that maximize student learning (formative, summative, selected response, extended written response, performance based),
- Demonstrate a wide variety of instructional methods & classroom strategies to meet individual student needs,
- Support building extracurricular activities as a coach or sponsor,
- Demonstrate a willingness to work with students of diverse cultural and academic backgrounds,
- Purses professional growth; and will seek additional certifications to support our academic and career pathways.
