Radio Frequency Engineer - III

Location:

Rolling Meadows, IL

• IBWave Certification or practical experience with IBWave.
• You will be part of the National In-building PMO RF Design team interfacing with submarket teams, enterprise sales teams and senior leadership teams.
• You will help build the foundation that keeps Telecommunication in front of the competition.
• You will be designing, managing the implementation of enterprise in-building projects and distributed antenna systems.
• These projects require interaction at the Director/VP level and development of Executive dashboards and presentations.

• Support the National In-Building team in reviewing In-Building designs (in iBwave format) and completing the required RF paperwork per project.
• Filing 911 and regulatory paperwork for all projects assigned to you
• Team up with experienced RF Design engineers to manage projects throughout the country

• IBWave Certification and practical experience with IBWave
• Extensive knowledge of FCC Emissions and RF Safety guidelines
• Proficient on RF/Regulatory and PM Software:
  Atoll, Fuze/Siterra, Roofmaster/Roofview
• Expert in office computer applications:
  Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.
• RF System Optimization techniques for voice and data for Nortel, Client, and/or Nokia infrastructure
• Should have a good understanding of engineering concepts, and must show aptitude and desire to learn and advance in a technical field.
• This individual needs to be experienced in RF Design for Indoor Systems.
• Experience with RAN and DAS OEM systems required
• Expertise with prediction and Mapping tools (Atoll, iBwave, Map Info, Windcatcher)
• An in-depth understanding of the various aspects of the RF Engineering elements that affect the decisions they are making or recommending
• An end-to-end understanding of the systems they are making decisions on and the technologies that are driving them
• A firm grasp and hands-on knowledge of the tools they are using as well as understand the range and limitations of those tools
• Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task
• Possessing the trait of being organized or following a systematic method of performing a task
• Ability to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations

• BS in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent work experience in the cellular or telecommunications industry
• 2 to 3 years of experience in RF Design
