Bookkeeper

Silver Star Protection Group (established 2014), a security firm headquartered in Rolling Meadows, IL. We offer comprehensive security services: physical security, system integration, consultation, and secure transport across multiple industries such as cannabis, commercial real estate, construction, and data centers.

Rolling Meadows, IL

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM

Status

Full‑time (Exempt)

Compensation

$50,000 – $60,000 DOE

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately record all financial transactions (income, expenses, and activities).
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, tracking invoices, payments and overdue accounts while maintaining vendor and client relationships.
  • Contact customers on overdue accounts to encourage timely payment or negotiate payment plans.
  • Conduct daily and monthly bank and credit‑card reconciliations.
  • Prepare and update financial reports as necessary.
  • Assist in categorizing and reconciling accounts and transactions.
Budget and Expense Monitoring
  • Track budgets, identify variances, and recommend adjustments.
  • Assist with corporate audit and other financial reporting requirements as needed.
  • Collaborate with operations and admin teams on specific projects and ad‑hoc assignments.
Requirements
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
  • 2‑5+ years of bookkeeping experience; multi‑entity experience strongly preferred.
  • Quick Books experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with sales tax.
  • Highly proficient in MS Excel and Word.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Proactive problem‑solving, strong decision‑making, and confidentiality handling.
  • Professional presentation, ability to engage all organization levels, and autonomous work with proper judgment for escalation.
  • Strong ethics and reliability.
