Overview

We are hiring for a Finance Manager on our Gallagher Bassett Team!

How you'll make an impact
  • Manage a team of 2-3 strong, technical financial analysts dedicated to understanding the complex contractual relationships with our clients and ensuring the service fee billing process follows these terms appropriately
  • Ensure consistent, scalable processes to ensure accurate and timely billing based on contractual relationship with clients
  • Ensure appropriate controls, procedures and escalations to allow for appropriate oversight and notification
  • Work to drive best practices to ensure the scalability and consistency of processes
  • Collaborate with Account Managers, Account Executives and Finance groups to ensure controls are appropriately applied especially in relation to client contracts
  • Ensure organizational delivery target dates are consistently being met
  • Perform ad hoc analyses for operational and financial management and to support business needs
  • Professional Leadership:

  • Strong Excel skills:
    • Ability to work with large data sets
    • Ability to utilize functions/formulas and other Excel mechanisms to build new and understand existing processes
  • Communication skills:
    • Ability to interact with clients, producers, account managers, external vendors (i.e., banks, payment processors) and senior leadership throughout Gallagher Bassett
    • Ability to interact with teams across Finance to ensure adherence to timeliness and quality standards
    • Ability to interact with our Gallagher Center of Excellence team to ensure adherence to timeliness and quality standards
    • Strong written communication skills
    • Proven presentation skills
About You

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree and 7 years related experience required.

Preferred:

  • Good working knowledge of the insurance brokerage business
  • Strong PC and Microsoft application skills
  • Insurance or TPA (Third Party Administrator) background preferred
  • Understanding of Banking, Billing and Accounts Receivable processes
  • Bachelor’s degree, with preference in analytical field such as Finance, Accounting, Math, or Economics
  • MBA or related advanced degree a plus
