Requirements Must have:
We are seeking a candidate with at least 6 years of experience in Help Desk support, preferably within a remote support setting (Managed Service experience is advantageous). The ideal individual will possess excellent customer service skills, particularly in managing sensitive and high-priority escalations. Strong troubleshooting abilities are essential, as is the capability to mentor others in troubleshooting methods. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment juggling multiple priorities and projects.
A solid team-oriented mindset is crucial, along with outstanding verbal and written communication skills. While a college degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience is preferred, it is not mandatory.
In this role, you will closely collaborate with end-users at all levels to resolve hardware, software, and application-related issues. You will serve as a Tier-3 escalation point for other support engineers within the team. Your tasks will include managing, prioritizing, and resolving daily support requests received via email, web, and telephone. It is essential to use our tools and ticketing systems to thoroughly document all efforts and solutions.
You will also need a strong familiarity with hardware and software to effectively address issues.
This is a full-time position with a salary range of $70,000 to $90,000 per year. We offer various benefits, including a 401(k) plan with matching, dental, health, life, and vision insurance, as well as paid time off. The work location is hybrid remote based in Rolling Meadows, IL, and we expect candidates to be able to commute to this area (relocation before starting is preferred).
