Overview

We are looking for a Global Headquarters Security Manager. This position will work closely with the Americas Regional Safety and Security Manager to manage safety and security operations at Gallagher Global Headquarters in Rolling Meadows, IL. The ideal candidate will have security management experience and extensive knowledge of security industry standards and practices, which will allow you to work successfully with internal clients and stakeholders on new and expanded projects.

This candidate is expected to assist the Americas Regional Safety and Security Manager and other Global Program Leaders in achieving departmental vision and mission. How you’ll make an impact
  • Lead HQ Security Operations:
    Oversee daily security functions at Global Headquarters, including coordination with internal departments, support for the Americas Team, and management of the HQ Intern Program. Ensure smooth execution of meeting and event security logistics and maintain alignment with organizational safety standards.
  • Manage Emergency Preparedness and Response:
    Direct the HQ Rapid Response Plan and Off-Site Response Plan, including training programs, documentation of incidents, and communication with GSS leadership. Maintain emergency-related equipment and foster strong relationships with emergency services to ensure coordinated response capabilities. Provide initial response support to reported incidents at HQ and coordinate notifications and management of emergency services.
  • Administer Resiliency and Training Programs:
    Design and implement resiliency training and exercises for HQ personnel. Oversee emergency response training for both internal teams and the Contract Guard Program to build organizational readiness. Document all key training programs in accordance with Gallagher and Global Safety and Security requirements.
  • Oversee Contract Guard Program (CGP):
    Manage all aspects of the CGP, including vendor relationships, scheduling, invoice processing, performance metrics (KPIs), and monthly vendor meetings. Ensure guards are properly trained and equipped and communicate program updates to leadership.
  • Manage Security Systems and Equipment:
    Supervise the operation and maintenance of access control, video surveillance, and visitor management systems. Lead vendor coordination, system lifecycle management, preventative maintenance, and resolution of system failures. Conduct semi-annual assessments and ensure timely reporting and documentation.
  • Budget and Vendor Oversight:
    Administer the annual HQ Security Operational Budget and oversee vendor relationships across both personnel and technology domains. Ensure timely processing of invoices and delivery of services aligned with strategic goals.
  • Monitor Industry Trends and Reporting:
    Stay current on security industry developments and integrate relevant insights into operations. Respond to leadership reporting requests and maintain comprehensive documentation for audits and reviews.
About You

Required: 3 years related experience required.

Preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and training in related fields required
