Overview This role oversees claims processing operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with legal, regulatory, and organizational standards while driving continuous improvement through workflow optimization, quality assurance, and KPI analysis. The position manages a small to mid-sized team, mitigates operational risk, supports strategic planning, and ensures excellent customer service while addressing moderately complex operational challenges.
How You'll Make An ImpactPosition Summary:
- Oversees the claims processing operations within an organization, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Develops and implements efficient claims processing procedures and workflows to enhance productivity and reduce processing times while maintaining accuracy and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that all claims are processed in compliance with legal, regulatory, and company standards.
- Implementing quality assurance measures to monitor and improve claims handling;
- Tracking and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) related to claims operations, such as turnaround times, accuracy rates, and customer satisfaction, to identify areas for improvement;
- Ensuring that the claims team provides excellent customer service, addressing policyholder inquiries and resolving issues promptly and effectively.
- Identifying and mitigating risks associated with claims operations, implementing strategies to minimize potential losses and improve overall risk management.
- Contributes to the development of strategic plans for the claims department, aligning operational goals with the broader objectives of the organization.
- Manages a small to mid-sized team consisting of lower level Managers and seasoned Professionals who exercise latitude and independence in assignments.
- Implements policies and strategies for short-term results (1 year or less).
- Handles problems that are difficult and moderately complex.
Required:
- Typically Requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience.
