We are looking for a Satellite Navigation Payload IVVQ Engineer to join the Engineering Department with the following scope:
- Support the execution of programs such as GALILEO, Moonlight, LEO PNT, etc.
- Contribute to the acquisition of new business opportunities.
- Foster Research & Development activities in the satellite navigation domain.
Location:
Rome
- Design and develop advanced satellite navigation payloads for space missions.
- Own and execute Assembly, Integration, Verification, and Validation (AIVV) activities for navigation payloads.
- Define and implement payload integration and test plans, procedures, and environments.
- Coordinate and manage payload AIVV campaigns, including test setup and troubleshooting.
- Participate in technical reviews and report AIVV results to stakeholders.
- Analyze and validate navigation payload architectures and subsystems.
- Simulate and assess performance of payload functionalities, such as signal generation and processing.
- Investigate and resolve technical anomalies during AIVV and operational phases.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and external partners to ensure successful payload validation.
- Contribute to the optimization and innovation of AIVV processes and methodologies.
- Prepare technical documentation, test reports, and support proposal activities.
- Contribute to growth of the engineering department activities (e.g., acquisition of new contracts, definition of strategy for evolution of competencies).
- Contribute to R&D activities through proposal and execution of new studies.
- Support interaction with universities through defining and following up on thesis, stage, etc.
- Participate in international meetings and conferences held worldwide.
Language: fluent English, spoken and written.
Competencies- A master’s degree in electronics, telecommunications, computer science, aerospace engineering, or equivalent.
- Significant proven experience (3-5 years) in Analysis and Simulation, Requirement Test, Integration, Verification, Validation.
- Knowledge of basic telecommunication principles (propagation error, access schema, modulations, etc.).
- Familiarity with System Engineering Tools (e.g., Simulation Tools, MATLAB) and laboratory instruments.
- Knowledge of Satellite Navigation and/or Communication System, with at least 5 years of experience in the field.
- Experience leading engineering projects or activities.
- Capability to adapt and react to change.
- Strong teamwork and problem‑solving propensity, proactivity, and attitude to find innovative solutions.
