ABOUT EXPERIMENTAL ROMAOpening in mid-2026 on Via Ludovisi, just off the legendary Via Veneto, Experimental Roma will be a vibrant and cinematic new destination from Experimental.
Housed in a former bank, the hotel has been transformed by interior designer Rodolphe Parente into a space that embodies the essence of la dolce vita: elegant, timeless, and irresistibly Italian.
The property will feature 82 rooms, a restaurant, a bar, and a spectacular rooftop with a suspended pool offering breathtaking views over the magnificent cityscape of Rome.

ABOUT THE JOBThe Sous Chef works under the responsibility of the Head Chef. He/She is responsible for the smooth running of service in order to deliver an unforgettable experience to our guests, as well as for the supportive and positive supervision of the kitchen teams.
Research & Development- Support the Head Chef in the research, development, and tasting of new dishes,
- Assist the Head Chef in menu updates and the creation of new menus that meet the group’s quality standards.
- Ensure that the quality and quantity of delivered products meet expectations,
- Check delivery notes and invoices,
- Inform the Head Chef of the need to purchase or repair kitchen equipment.
- Comply with all regulations related to nutrition, hygiene, and food safety, as well as workplace safety standards,
- Respect personal hygiene and uniform standards as required by management.
- Act as a leader for the kitchen team,
- Support the Head Chef in training and developing team members’ professional skills,
- Consistently demonstrate proper techniques to help team members improve,
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude toward colleagues,
- Take part in team briefings and meetings.
- In the absence of the Head Chef, lead and manage the kitchen team during service,
- Ensure the quality of all dishes leaving the kitchen,
- Ensure respectful and positive relationships between team members and restaurant guests,
- Ensure respectful behavior of the kitchen team toward front-of-house colleagues,
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment and professional uniforms,
- Ensure the smooth organization of the linen collection service.
Graduated from a hospitality and culinary training program, you have at least one first significant experience in a similar position or as a Senior Chef de Partie.
A true driving force, you know how to motivate and unite the kitchen brigade. You are a strong mentor with a genuine team spirit.
You are autonomous and adaptable, with a strong sense of organization and initiative, and you demonstrate an excellent sense of hospitality and guest service. If so, this position is made for you.
You communicate easily in Italian (knowledge of English is a plus).
