Bilingual Cost Accountant (English/Japanese)
SummaryThe Cost Accountant will be responsible for performing general accounting tasks, including the review and processing of financial documents, ensuring compliance with accounting policies, and assisting in financial analysis and reporting. This role will support cost accounting functions, budgeting, variance analysis, and financial data interpretation to aid management decisions. Additionally, the position involves collaborating with other accounting staff and supporting audit processes.
Essential Duties- Prepare monthly cost of sales reports and closing entries.
- Review and maintain costing tables on a monthly basis.
- Assist in managing closing schedules and meeting reporting deadlines.
- Analyze actual vs. standard cost variances and provide insights to managers.
- Support budget forecasting and financial planning.
- Compile, analyze, and interpret statistical and financial data for special reports.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports.
- Maintain pricing discrepancy records for raw material vendors.
- Process raw material accounts payable, including intercompany transactions.
- Conduct cost studies and provide detailed cost insights.
- Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiency.
- Assist with physical inventory audits and reconciliation.
- Support SOX compliance and audit functions.
- Full-time position.
- Standard working hours from Monday to Friday.
- Hybrid or on-site work depending on company policy.
- Rome, GA
- Salary Range: $60,000 - $65,000 per year.

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting.
- 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably 1-2 years in a manufacturing setting.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and financial software.
- Advanced Excel skills for financial reporting and analysis.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles.
- Ability to work accurately with large volumes of financial data under strict deadlines.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
