Job SummaryThis position provides cashier support for the GHC Business Office of Student Financial Services.
Responsibilities- Is responsible to understand, support, and carry out the college's mission, vision, and values and comply with mandates and regulations of government and accrediting bodies
- Receipts all payments to business office
- Answers telephone and greets visitors; provides information and assistance; refers as appropriate to others
- Processes all bank deposits
- Manages petty cash reconciliations
- Assists in billing of past due accounts
- Maintains daily reports and bank deposit receipts
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Currently enrolled in a program of study at Georgia Highlands College, business pathway preferred
- Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of a High School diploma or equivalent, while currently in a course of study related to the occupational field
- Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles; not required but preferred
- Skill in timely decision making and problem solving
- Skill in the operation of computers and job-related software programs
- Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public
- Skill in oral and written communications, time management, organizational skills
$12.00 per hour
