Experienced Automotive Technician – Main Shop Experience Required

Courtesy Ford of Rome, GA is family owned and a great place to have a rewarding career! Our high-volume Service Dept. is growing and seeking an experienced Main Shop Technician
to diagnose automotive problems and perform repairs and maintenance on a variety of vehicles. Automotive main shop technician experience is required.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose automotive problems and perform maintenance and repairs on Ford vehicles and other makes/models.
  • Diagnose and repair automotive mechanical and electrical issues using professional diagnostic equipment.
  • Perform engine, transmission, brake, suspension, steering, HVAC, and other major repairs.
  • Accurately document all diagnostic findings, repairs, parts, and labor.
  • Follow manufacturer specifications, dealership procedures, and safety standards.
  • Conduct thorough quality checks to ensure repairs are completed correctly.
  • Communicate effectively with service advisors and fellow technicians regarding vehicle condition and repair needs.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Stay current with evolving automotive technology, repair procedures, and training.
  • Deliver high-quality work while maintaining productivity and efficiency.
Qualifications
  • Solid knowledge of modern automotive systems and repair procedures.
  • Able to accurately diagnose automotive problems and complete repairs efficiently.
  • Experience using automotive diagnostic tools and shop equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Able to work independently and contribute to a team-oriented environment.
  • Dependable, professional, and motivated work ethic.
  • Valid driver’s license and insurance
  • Ford or OEM dealership experience is a plus.
  • ASE certifications are a plus.
