Spanish Teacher PositionThis announcement is for a vacancy of a Spanish Teacher at Rome High School for the school year. Rome High School is the only high school in the Rome City School System, located in Rome, Georgia, approximately 65 miles NW of Atlanta. The candidate selected for this position MUST hold or be eligible for the appropriate Georgia Foreign Language/Spanish teaching certificate for grades 6-12 as described by the Georgia Professional Standard Commission's website:
The district is seeking a candidate who: is knowledgeable of delivering instruction in a standards-based classroom utilizing "best practices"; knows/understands the Common Core Curriculum; has excellent classroom management skills; can use technology for both instruction and administrative applications; and, is positive, cooperative and works well with others.
