Job Description
Shift: WEEKEND
- Implements treatment plans established by the Occupational Therapist; and through consideration of practice standards, recommended techniques, insurance guidelines, and patient needs.
- Uses appropriate therapy procedures, documents data, and follows individualized care plans set by the occupational therapist.
- Provides patient and family education, including home exercise programs for treatment carryover into the discharge setting.
- Supports consumer marketing and public awareness through participation in community events, educational lectures, and other extensions of clinical expertise to the community.
- Conducts age-appropriate assessments and interventions, completing annual age-specific competencies relevant to the scope of care.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Windows, and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Ability to read, write, and speak conversational English effectively.
- Ability to communicate effectively in written, verbal, and electronic forms.
- Entry level knowledge and application of principles of medical occupational therapy for therapeutic diagnostics and treatment.

- Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) Required
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) Required
- National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) [Preferred]
