Hours:
36 per week - Outpatient Behavioral Health
- No nights, weekends, holidays, or call responsibilities
- Collaborative, multidisciplinary care team
- Moonlighting opportunities available
- Performance incentive bonuses up to 5%
- CME allowance of $2,500 plus 40 hours annually

$47.50 - $71.25 per hour
Job SummaryThe Behavioral Health Advanced Practice Provider is responsible for delivering comprehensive psychiatric care in an outpatient setting. Duties include conducting psychiatric evaluations, establishing diagnoses, developing individualized treatment plans, prescribing and managing psychiatric medications, monitoring patient progress, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Essential Functions- Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic psychiatric conditions
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications per evidence-based practices
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as clinically appropriate
- Document patient encounters accurately within the electronic medical record
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, nurses, social workers, and other professionals regarding patient care
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and community resources
- Participate in departmental meetings, quality initiatives, and program development activities
- Advocate for patients and support access to behavioral health services throughout the community
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Current Georgia license or eligibility for licensure as an NP or PA
- Current prescriptive authority and DEA registration required
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association required
- Master's Degree or Doctor of Nursing Practice from an accredited program
- Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) required
- NCCPA certification required
- Psychiatry or Behavioral Health experience preferred
- One or more years of Psychiatry or Behavioral Health experience
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to function effectively within a multidisciplinary behavioral health team
