The entry‑level Fleet Mechanic will work independently performing preventive maintenance and repairs on Pepsi’s diverse fleet, including trucks, vans, forklifts, and automobiles.
Key Responsibilities- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs with a high degree of independence
- Use advanced technology and programs such as voice‑activated PM, Noregon diagnostics, Uptake predictive analytics, TAAS, and more
- Diagnose vehicle failures and disassemble, repair, and reassemble components as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation in the vehicle software system (work orders, records, part reconciliation, pre‑trip checklists)
- Adhere to all safety standards and procedures, supporting Pepsi’s strong safety culture
- Assist in maintaining one of the largest fleets in North America
- Own basic hand tools; diagnostic and high‑tech tools will be provided
- Perform physical movements (lifting, pinching, bending, reaching, climbing) with or without accommodation
- At least 18 years of age
- Pass Forklift Driving Skills test (if applicable)
- Lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation
- Replacing mounted wheels to torque specs
- Working under limited supervision (remote work from direct supervisor)
- Using shop tools (engine hoists, welding, tire changes, small tools)
- Following preventive maintenance schedules (oil changes, tracking miles and hours, defect repair)
- Working with computers (i‑pad, desktop, handheld, laptop, diagnostics)
- Training involving hydraulic and air brake systems
